Welcome to Mrs. Ruehlow’s English 10 Writing Workshop Edublog!
On this blog, you will have the opportunity to post your creative writing and get nearly immediate feedback from other students and from me. Consider the tactful reactions and suggestions of your classmates and teacher, provide helpful suggestions to others to more fully develop and revise writing skills during this 2+ week unit.
Post your writing. Get and give responses. Post revisions. Ask questions. Get ideas. Share suggestions. Encourage each other’s writing.
Mrs. Ruehlow’s Graded Expection: I expect each student in class to post at least two significant postings of suggestions or reviews each day we have library time — these must be more than simply “I like it.” Be specific and provide meaningful responses that will help the author with revisions to improve their writing.
Be sure to tell authors what you like about their writing as well as ways you think they can improve what they’ve written. If you have questions, ask them of the writer. Your goals in using this blog are to improve your writing and help others improve theirs.
